Mary Cottrell Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Goodman Cottrell of Selma, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 24, 2023 a the age of 66.
Mary was born in Selma on July 13, 1956 to the late Walter B. Goodman and Mavis E. Dennis Goodman.
She was homemaker.
She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Johnson (James Phillips, Jr.); grandchildren, James Johnson (Ellie Roberts), Gabrielle Johnson, Samantha Johnson, Jasmine Phillips, and Logan Phillips; mother, Mavis Goodman; siblings, Walter Joseph "Joe" Goodman, Patricia Burgey (Rickey), Daniel Goodman, and Cathy Fuentes (Gregorio); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Walter B. Goodman; husband, James Larry Cottrell; and sister, Angel Leigh Goodman.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from the Chapel of Selma Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. John Chappelle officiating.
Interment will follow in Pineview Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the Selma Funeral Home.
Final care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Selma Funeral Home of Valley Grande.
