Mary Angela (Pullaro) Cranson, 79, of Pittsfield, MA died peacefully at home in the loving arms of her daughters, Michele and Lisa, on Sunday August 24, 2025.

Mary was born in Pittsfield, MA on July 30, 1946, a daughter of the late Frank Carmen Pullaro and Enis Teresa (Pariselli) Pullaro. She graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1964 and received her license in cosmetology from LeBaron Hairdressing Academy the following year.

Following graduation, Mary worked for many years as a hairdresser at Joseph on the Mall, where her clients and coworkers became like family. Her years there were filled with laughter and good times. After retiring, Mary found her true calling as a companion to several senior citizens who became not just clients, but close friends. She loved all their stories and loved sharing them with her own family.

Mary's family and friends enjoyed her cooking and baking, which had come a long way from her first Thanksgiving dinner when she accidently enhanced her gravy with vanilla extract instead of Gravy Master. Mary was always the first person to offer homecooked meals or freshly baked desserts for any and all occasions. In addition to cooking, she enjoyed bird watching, golfing, completing the daily crossword puzzle, playing cards and Bingo, finding the right piece in a jigsaw puzzle and vacationing with her family, especially on Cape Cod. Mary was an avid fan of her beloved Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics and rarely missed a game on television. Though she enjoyed many things in life, Mary was at her happiest when spending time with her family whether chatting around the dining table or singing and dancing at holiday parties.

Mary is survived by her two daughters, Michele Hughes (Richard) of Pittsfield, MA and Lisa Borsello of Clifton, NJ and four grandchildren including Meghan Hughes (Alex Bauscher), Shane Hughes (Maria Silva), Jaylie Borsello, and Angelo Borsello, and her cherished great grandson, Damian Hughes. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Candi, Chrissy, John, Nicole, Steven, and Thomas, dear friend Paul, and many other family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her sisters, Dianne Hebert and Elaine Raymond, and her longtime companion, Joseph McCusker.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A private family service will be held to honor Mary's life. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time.
