Mary was born at home in Perks, Illinois on September 7, 1935 to the late Ira Jordan and Lena Keller Jordan. She graduated from Tamms Illinois High School in 1953 then married the love of her life, Bob Cunningham, on May 15, 1953. Mary and Bob owned and operated Treas Building Center. She enjoyed traveling, reading, bowling and playing golf where she once hit a hole in one.
She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Bob Cunningham; one son, Steven Cunningham; three daughters, Rene Callihan, Robin Cunningham (Dennis Thompson) and Amy Cunningham; eight grandchildren, Jeremiah and Joshua Martin, Jason Callihan, Megan Barrett (Justin), Zachary, Seth (Jackie), Mallory and Lilly Cunningham; and five great-grandchildren, Miles and Ozzie Cunningham, Zoa and Grayson Barrett, Henry Cunningham.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Willard, Dariel and Webb Jordan; one sister, Norma Jennings; son-in-law, Dennis Callihan; in-laws, Clyde Cunningham and Martha Cannon Boushard.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Marshall Co. Memory Gardens in Benton, KY.
There will be no public visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN or the Marshall Co. Animal Shelter, 839 Benton-Briensburg Rd, Benton, KY 42025.
