Curran, Mary
WHITING, N.J. - Mary Curran, of Whiting, N.J., passed away peacefully on February 26,2025, after a brief illness.
Born in Manhattan, N.Y., on October 25, 1927, to late parents, Dominic and Grace Landi, Mary was known for her generous spirit and love for her family. Survived by her loving husband in marriage of 55 years, James E. Curran. Sister of late Carmine Landi, Frank Landi, and Vincent Landi. Loving mother of the late Stanley P, Polchinski. Survived by children, Dominick T. Polchinski, and Annamarie G, Sohnen. Also, survived by many nieces and nephews; as well as grandchildren, Christine Polchinski, Jean Evich, Rachel E. Sohnen, and Michael H. Sohnen. Great-grandmother of Micah Evich.
Mary graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology High School in N.Y.C., N.Y. Mary's love of fashion and talent for art followed her through life, which led to her career as a hair stylist. Mary was always happy entertaining family and friends. She and husband, James, enjoyed traveling to new places, always making new friends along the way. Mary will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands, N.Y., Saturday, September 13, at 11 a.m. Burial by Cannon Funeral Home. Donations for Mary and James may be given to Church of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seaton, 30 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting, N.J. 08759. To leave a message of condolence please visit www.cannonfuneral.com
