Mary Ann Damico

Mary Ann Damico, 83, passed away Wednesday January 4th, 2012, at Freedom Plaza Care Center, from pneumonia.She was born in Meadville, PA on January 13th, 1928, a daughter of Salvadore (Sam) and Mary Ogello Rappa.She married the love of her life Michael H. Damico and he preceded her in death on March 30th, 2009.Mary was the proud owner of Mickey's Lounge & Restaurant and Mickey's 6-Pack Carry-Out and meat market, in Meadville, PA for 16 years. She was owner, waitress, cook and den mother to all the college students. She was most famous for her Magoo sandwiches and homemade pizza and earned the name of "Pizza Mary".In November of 1978, she moved to Phoenix, AZ for her husband's health. She worked for Goldwater's from 1978-1981 as a sales representative in the dress department.Aside from her love of dancing, socializing and cooking, she most enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.Survivors, include her four children, son Michael A. Damico and wife Kim, son Martin (Marty) J. Damico and wife Cindy, daughter Diana (Dee Dee) M. Bagley and husband Steve, son, Timothy (Tim) M. Damico and wife Karen; eight grandchildren: Marnie Corley and husband Jon, Donnell Chayrez and husband Ralph, Fallon Damico, Nicole Amsler and husband Joe, Mandy Damico, Sonny Anderson, Huntter Damico, Gabrielle Damico; 10 great grandchildren: Devin Padilla, Austin, Brenna and Carrie Corley, Austin, Bradley and David Warren, Anthony and Alexandria Amsler, and Andrew Chayrez. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two sisters Josephine Damico and Vita West and two brothers Frank and James Rappa. She is survived by two brothers, Ben Rappa of Florida and Thomas Rappa of Meadville, and their loving families, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.She will live in our memories and forever be in our hearts.A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 11th, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W.
