Mary Ethel McCarty Davis
Mary was born the third child of Bennie and Montez McCarty. She had eight siblings, seven who preceded her in death with one surviving sister, Bonnie McCarty Parten.
Also preceding her in death was her husband, Fred Davis and two children, Mary Jean Davis and Benjamin Steve Davis. 
She is survived by three children, Clarke (Lawana), Tim and Vicki (Doug); 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Mary did furniture upholstery from her home in Colbert for many years. She was also employed by Athens Christian School and the Madison County Senior Center. She was a longtime member of Sonlight Baptist Church on Beaverdam Road. Mary loved music and played the guitar and sung both in church and in a music and preaching ministry at a state prison.
She will always be remembered by her family for her great work ethic, her godly influence and her servant's heart. She was truly a wonderful mother.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 11:00 am at Lord and Stephens, Danielsville. Interment will follow in the Sonlight Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville is in charge of arrangements.
