Mary DelMedico Obituary
A memorial mass for Mary M. DelMedico, nee Brady, 89, of Huntley, formerly of Schaumburg, will be held at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Rd., Huntley. Mid-October date pending. Internment will be private.
Mary, known to friends as Maureen, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side Friday, September 20, after a long and full life. Mary was born in Big Clifty, KY and grew up in Millington, TN surrounded by a large loving family. Mary was very proud of her Southern and Irish roots. When she was not busy caring for her family, she was an avid gardener and reader.
Mary is survived by her loving children, Michael DelMedico, Teresa (Gerald) Donlon, Joseph DelMedico and Susan DelMedico; grandchildren, Robert (Megan) Donlon, Kelly DelMedico and Brian (Christina) DelMedico; great-granddaughter, Faye Donlon; sisters, Kathleen Smith and Ann Brady; and many affectionate nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl DelMedico; daughter, Laura Ann DelMedico; grandson, William Donlon; siblings, Brigid Brady, Patrick Brady and Jim Brady.
In lieu of flowers, donation memorials may be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital, 120 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
