Mrs. Mary Margaret DelPrete (née O'Leary), age 81, was greeted by God on October 23, 2025, in St. Augustine, Florida surrounded by her family. Born on December 4, 1943, in Malden, Massachusetts, Mary lived a vibrant and full life marked by deep devotion to her family and an infectious zest for celebration.

Mary's professional journey was as dynamic as her personality. She served as the Social Director at Granada Highlands, where her natural charisma and organizational flair brought people together and created lasting memories. Later, she found great success as a real estate agent with Century 21 Bond Realty in Malden, where her warmth and dedication earned her the trust of countless clients.

Mary shared 58 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Michael A. DelPrete, formerly of East Boston, Massachusetts. Together they built a life centered around love, laughter, and family-values that Mary held dear throughout her life.

She leaves behind three devoted daughters: Michelle Sill and her husband Jeff of Scituate, Massachusetts; Andrea Gallagher and her husband Jim of St. Augustine, Florida; and Wendi Magliozzi and her husband Marc of Saugus, Massachusetts. Mary was the cherished "Neena" to six grandchildren who were the light of her life: Jay and Gillian Gallagher; Sabrina, Domenic, and Mario Magliozzi; and Michael Sill.

Mary is also survived by three loving siblings-Ann Casey, Pat O'Leary, and Sheila Donovan-as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who were all touched by her boundless love.

To know Mary was to feel like part of something special. She had an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel welcomed and loved-whether through a warm embrace or one of her famously festive gatherings. Her home was always open for celebration; no holiday or occasion went unmarked without decorations that dazzled or parties that brought people together in joy.

A lifelong Red Sox fan with a green thumb and an eye for beauty, Mary found joy in gardening and decorating-especially when it meant bringing cheer to others. After retiring to St. Augustine with Mike, she continued to spread happiness through elaborate seasonal displays that delighted neighbors and passersby alike.

Mary's legacy is one of love lived out loud-of big hugs, bigger laughs, and even bigger hearts gathered around tables she so lovingly set. Her spirit will live on in every family gathering she inspired and every friendship she nurtured into kinship.

May the memory of Mary Margaret DelPrete bring comfort to all who knew her-and may we continue to celebrate life as she so beautifully taught us to do. A Funeral Mass will be held on October 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM at San Sebastián Catholic Church.
