Mary Eileen Doscher, 97, a remarkable woman who lived a full and adventurous life, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Palm Coast, Florida. Born in White Plains, New York on April 25, 1928, she was the daughter of Frederick Doscher and Elizabeth White. Throughout her life, Mary Doscher was affectionately known as Eileen and worked for many years at IBM with her lifelong friend, Ollie Smith. Their connection endured despite the passage of time. Eileen later became the secretary to Saint Mary Catholic Parish in Korona, under the guidance of Father John Flaherty. She dedicated her life to serving the Lord with unwavering commitment. Eileen cherished simple pleasures, such as engaging in conversations with friends and family, spending time with her nephews and nieces, and enjoying the company of her loved ones. Her exceptional ability to connect with others and convey positive messages left a lasting impact on those she touched. Eileen is preceded by her parents, Frederick and Elizabeth Doscher; her brother, Fred Doscher; her sister, Pat Baxter; and her most recent sister, Betsy Williams. Eileen survived by nephews David, Charlie, Freddy nieces, Bonnie and Becky. She is also survived by her great-grandnephew, Marshall Williams. The exceptional staff at Good Samaritan Care Center, particularly Dorota Wielgus, played a pivotal role in ensuring Doscher's comfort and well-being during her final years. The residents of the care center and their staff will forever remember Doscher's remarkable spirit and unwavering love for life.
