Mary R. Durrick

Durrick, Mary R. LATHAM Mary Rose Durrick, 97 of Latham, the beloved wife of the late Walter Durrick Jr., passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021. Born in Troy, on September 27, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Julia (Caufield) Finley. Mary graduated from Catholic Central High School in Troy. During her life Mary worked as a medical transaction clerk, employed by both Latham Medical Group and Empire Vision. Mary will forever be remembered as a woman of unmatched kindness and generosity. She could immediately light up a room by her presence and was always the life of the party. She loved to dance and always looked forward to the annual DeeDee's trip to the Saratoga Race Track. Mary was a beloved member of the Bright Horizons Day Program where she was fondly nicknamed the "Rockette." The memories of those who loved her will forever be cherished. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her siblings, John, Helen, Bertha Rose, Philip, and Cathy. Surviving members of her family include her children, Robert W. Durrick, Mark (Liza) Durrick, and Tracy Durrick. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nicole, Lori, Spenser, Sam, and Parker; great-grandson Remington, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, November 14, from 12 - 2 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 15, at 10 a.m. in St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY, 12110, with Father Brian Kelly officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
