Mary A. Dye

Mary A. Dye (nee Cunat) age 84 of Hudson, OH, passed away Friday, November 7, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward R. Dye; loving mother of Kathleen Slater, Debra (Kevin) Schockling, Robert (Patty) Dye, and the late Edward W. Dye; cherished grandmother of 10; and a dear sister of Sandra (Bill) Burlison, Susan Walk, Jane Caito, Judy Olsen, and the late Barbara Seekely, Donald Cunat, and Sally Cunat; and a caring aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Mary had a deep love for the moon and would often step outside in the evenings to admire it. She also enjoyed watching cardinals and spent many peaceful hours birdwatching. Above all, Mary devoted her life to her family. She sacrificed everything for their happiness and worked tirelessly to raise her four children, pouring all of her love into them. Some of her happiest days were those spent with her ten grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in her memory to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org). Friends will be received Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 5-7 PM at Busch-Romito Funeral Home, 19 E. Main St. (on the square) Hudson, OH 44236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Thursday, November 13, 2025 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 340 N. Main St., Hudson, OH 44236. All are asked to meet at church.
