Mary Edwards Obituary
Mary Helen Murkerson Edwards, a beloved resident of Blakely, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on Friday, August 14th, 1942, in Colquitt, Georgia, Mary lived a life full of love, resilience, and dedication to her family.
Mary was the daughter of the late Oscar Marcine Murkerson and Zoany Norris Adkinson.
She is survived by her loving children, son James O. Reeves and his wife Vickie of Quincy, Florida, and daughter Tammy Roberts of Blakely, Georgia. Mary was a proud grandmother to Anthony John Roberts II and his wife Kara, Crystal Roberts and her husband Travis, Wade Finuff and his wife Nicki, and Stephanie Reeves and her husband Cecil. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Anthony John Roberts III, Jacob Matthew Roberts, Jasmine Finuff, Isabella Finuff, and Tiago Finuff, who brought immense joy to her life.
Mary's family will honor her memory with private services, cherishing the moments and memories they shared with her. Arrangements have been entrusted to Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home, who have provided compassionate care during this difficult time.
Mary Helen Murkerson Edwards will be remembered for her unwavering love and dedication to her family. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
