Mary Ellen Schellenbaum Pino, 91, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, residing in Shadow Hills, California, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2025, surrounded by love. Born on October 24, 1934, in Magdalena, New Mexico, she was the beloved daughter of Eustacio J. Sanchez and Clara Armijo Sanchez. She was treasured and loved by her family, friends, and all who came to know her. Her spirit of joy, curiosity, humor, and compassion will be remembered always by those whose lives she so beautifully enriched.
A Funeral Mass for Mary Ellen will be celebrated at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Albuquerque, NM, on Friday, January 30, 2026, with a 10:00 a.m. rosary and a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Interment will commence at 1:30 p.m. at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, following a short reception for family and friends.
