Helen Evrett, age 99, of Ooltewah, TN passed away on February 20, 2024 with her family by her side. Helen was a bookkeeper and homemaker for 62 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, R.L. Evrett; parents James and Bessie Nations; sisters: Charlotte Nations and Geneva Garrett; brother Weldon Nations.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Jerry Evrett and daughter-in-law Teresa of Ooltewah; sister, Frankie Sheehan; and grandchildren: Robin Marino, Rhonda Acuff (Walter), Jerry L. Evrett Jr. (Michelle), Candy Flesch. In addition to these she leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family would also like to send a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice, her caregiver Evelyn Dennis, and very special friend of 49 years Peggy Wilson of Cumming, GA and their extended family from Georgia.
Helen's family will receive friends from 1-2pm on Friday, February 23, at the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 2pm with Pastor Grady Cooper officiating. She will be laid to rest following her service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
