My mother and I met Maxine at Kirtland Terrace. She was a delight. Always quick with a joke, a poem, and heartfelt concern if things weren't going just right. Maxine was always present; never preoccupied. I am so glad that mother and I were lucky enough to call her our friend. She was one of the most "grace-full" people I have ever met.
