Mary Fetko

Mary (Cain) Fetko passed away peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Fetko, in 1981.
Mary lived most of her life in Suffield, Connecticut. She lived in the Washington, DC area in the early 1950's while her husband was in the navy. She attended the Boston Neck School during her elementary school years and graduated from Suffield High School. She worked part-time at Suffield Cleaners and at Casual Corner. She enjoyed vacationing in the summer with her family at Lake Spofford in New Hampshire and she also went on several cruises in the Caribbean with one of her best friends. She enjoyed bingo at the Suffield Senior Center, movies at Kent Memorial Library, and coffee with friends after Sunday Mass during her later years.
She leaves behind two daughters: Sharon Piorun (and son-in-law Joseph Piorun) of Scottsdale, AZ and Sandy McHugh (and son-in-law Jim McHugh) of Windsor Locks, CT. She had six grandchildren: Curtis Piorun (and his wife Heather Piorun) of Tampa, FL, Kristin Piorun (and fiancé Melissa Crespo) of New York City, NY, Marisa Johnson (and her husband Kyle Johnson) of Simsbury, CT, Colin Packard (and Nora Feldhusen) of Red Hook, NY, Rachel Atallah (and her husband Antony Atallah) of Avon, CT, and Erin Prickett (and her husband Sam Prickett) of Springfield, MA. She also leaves behind seven great grandchildren: Grace and Sawyer Johnson, Milo Packard-Feldhusen, Charlotte and William Atallah, and Ryder and Wrenley Prickett; she also leaves a sister, Lucy Alex of New Haven, CT.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 11:30 AM in St. Joseph Cemetery on Hill Street in Suffield, CT. Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home has care of arrangements.
