ALBANY - Mary Louise (DeNucci) Fox, a lifelong resident of Albany, N.Y., passed away on December 24, 2025. She was born on April 25, 1942, to Albert and Stella DeNucci, both of whom predeceased her. She was raised in a close-knit family and was the beloved sister of Albert DeNucci and Joan Paratore, also deceased.
Mary married Thomas Fox, with whom she shared many years of devotion until his passing. It was clear to all who knew them how deeply Mary and Tom remained in love throughout their marriage. They were truly best friends, enjoying one another's company and offering constant mutual support. Together they raised two sons, Thomas Fox and Michael Fox, who were the pride of her life. Mary's greatest joy came from her family - especially her cherished grandchildren, Emily Fox and Allison Fox, whom she adored beyond measure. She also held a deep and loving bond with her daughter-in-law, Kelly Fox, who brought her great happiness.
Mary was a devoted aunt to her nephews, Anthony Paratore, James Paratore, Carmen Paratore, and Albert DeNucci; and to her beloved niece, Teresa DeNucci. She was also survived by her sister-in-law, Sandra Fox. Family remained at the center of her life, a constant source of connection, laughter, and love.
A woman of warmth and curiosity, Mary surrounded herself with dear friends who shared countless hours playing cards, enjoying trips to Rivers Casino, taking short getaways to special places, and frequenting her favorite restaurants at Stuyvesant Plaza - where she was always happiest in good company over a shared meal.
Mary was a faithful member of Saint Margaret Mary's Church in Albany. She devoted 23 productive years of service to the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance before retiring, leaving behind a reputation for diligence, reliability, and kindness.
Throughout her life, Mary touched many with her generosity, her quick sense of humor, and her genuine interest in the world and people around her. She represented the heart of a family and the closing chapter of a generation of Foxes and DiMuras who resided for many years on Moreland Ave., in Albany.
Her family holds her close in their thoughts and hearts and will gather in the future to celebrate and remember Mary's life and the love she gave so freely.
