Mary L. Fraley, a beloved matriarch and devoted member of the community, passed away on June 9, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on March 21, 1938, in Louisville, Kentucky, to her loving parents, Henry Bramer and Loretta Huber Bramer, Mary was compassionate about the care of her family and friends, and known for her steadfast love and commitment to those around her.
Mary retired from Ford Motor Company after many years of dedicated service. Following her retirement, she devoted her time to her family and community, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Mary was a faithful member of St. Joe Hill Catholic Church and later St. John Paul II, where her strong faith guided her and provided her with a sense of purpose.
In her later years, Mary remained very active, engaging with various community groups such as the Lift Luncheons, the Charlestown Senior Group, and the Moose Lodge in Sellersburg. She also enjoyed playing cards at the American Legion in Sellersburg, forming connections and friendships that enriched her life and the lives of others. Her hobbies included gardening, painting, and playing dominos; each activity reflected her unique personality and passion for gardening.
Mary cherished her family above all, and her fond memories included the many family trips they took together. She leaves behind her children, Donald (Michelle) Fraley, Pamela (John) Antonucci, Monica Fraley, Bryan (Jerry) Fraley, and Rob (Val) Fraley. Mary is also survived by her sisters, Joann (Doug) Coomer and Henrietta (Jimmy) Fraley, and a thriving legacy of grandchildren: Chelsea (Chance) Clark, Jessica (John) Soto, Faith Fraley, Amber Fraley, Johnny (Shea) Antonucci, David (Michelle) Antonucci, Brooklyn (Ian) Kennedy, Logan McClure, and Stephen Kunzman (Kylee). Additionally, her great-grandchildren-Caleb, Asher, Sienna, Vivian, Cannon, Rinna, Graham, Sylas, Leo, and Ollie-were a source of immense joy in her life. In the last few years, some of that joy came from her granddaughter, Chelsea, and the birth of Vivian and Cannon, who she called "her babies". She is also survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Von Wells, Mike Bennett, Dolores Bramer, Maryanne Thompson, and Mike Beaird.
Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her siblings: Edward Bramer, Richard Bramer, Rosemary Staehle and her husband, George Staehle, Mary Wells, Catherine Bennett, and Betty Beaird.
