Mary Helen (Dunn) Freeman, 79 passed away on May 17, 2023. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11:00 am at Candlewood Chapel at Ford Funeral Home.
Mary was born on February 29, 1944 in Kokomo, Indiana to Lawrence Woodson Dunn and Helen Marie (Bishop) Dunn.
She graduated from Midwest City High School in May 1962. She also completed study at Midwest City Beauty School for Cosmetology.
She enjoyed listening to music, especially the Bee Gees, and early Elvis. Playing various games: solitaire, dominoes and Fast Track with family and many more. Watching movies, especially with the family on Thanksgiving, spending time with family. and talking on the phone. She had an amazing memory, never forgetting a birthday or special event, always being the first to call you on your birthday or a holiday, usually starting about 3 days before. She also loved to tell stories of the past and to know everything going on with the family at all times.
She is survived by sister Anita Dunn Kutej, brother & Sister in law Bruce & Pat Dunn, Sister in laws, Karen Dunn and Betty Dunn.
3 adult children, Son: Mark Edward Freeman & Shelli Freeman of OKC, Son: Jay Woodson Freeman & Lori Freeman of OKC, and Daughter: Renee Marie McCraw of Sachse, TX. Grandchildren, Holly Elmore & Jeremy Dungan, Kasey & Ian Hunt, Dillon & Abbye Elmore, Kaitlyn & Chester Whitmore, Garrett Freeman, Alyssa Freeman, Drue McCraw, Alison McCraw, Abby & Beau Brown. Great GrandChildren: Landon Hodge, Ian Jr Hunt, Emmitt Hunt, Jaidyn Hunt, Ezekiel Hunt, Paisley Elmore, Everlie Elmore, Camden Freeman, Bronson Whitmore, Ivy Whitmore, Asher Stanton, Sequoia Brown. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Woodson Dunn and Helen Marie (Bishop) Dunn, brothers Darrell Dunn and Russell Dunn and Brother in Law Bobby Kutej.
