Mary L. Frey age 91 of Dixon passed away on Tuesday March 3, 2026 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on Nov. 29, 1934 in Dixon, IL the daughter of John and Anna (Newhausen) Wolf. Mary worked at Freeman Shoe Company, Borg Warner, and then the Illinois Tollway Authority for 20 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon, Loaves and Fishes, the Sterling Moose Club, and volunteered at KSB Hospital. She was a die hard Cubs Fan and really enjoyed watching them win the World Series. Mary enjoyed playing Lightning at the Sterling Moose Club on Saturdays, and for many years played Bingo all over the area. She was grateful for her nine children, their love, and every one of them were her favorite. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, sons Stephen Frey, Thomas Frey, daughter Kathleen Good, grandson Joshua Rogers, siblings, Carol Terranova, Sue Green, Judy Wolf, Katherine Freeman, Pat Deatherage, Stanley Wolf, Harold Joseph Wolf, and Dean Wolf. She is survived by her children John Richard Frey of Dixon, Patti (Mike) Mortell of Steward, Westly (Mary) Frey of Dixon, Diana Frey of Dixon, Marcia (Chad) Wilkinson of Dixon, Kevin (Lori) Frey of Lincoln CA, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, siblings Delmar (Jean) Wolf of Texas, Doris Freed of Dixon, Joan Webb of Rockford, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Wednesday March 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon. Visitation will be on Tuesday March 10, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a scripture service at 7:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home in Dixon.
