It is with sincere gratitude for the privilege of being her daughters that we said goodbye to our cherished mother, Mary Goeglein. Mary was born in Durango, CO in 1937 and passed away peacefully in Farmington, NM on June 2, 2024.

She was the center of our family, her house being the one where we all gathered for celebrations, family dinners, a game of cards, or simply conversation. Her love and influence in our lives, our children's lives, and even the lives of their children will ensure that she lives on for generations. Mom was a competitive game player who was always up for learning a new game or teaching someone an old one. She loved to cook for her family and diligently tried to make everyone their favorite treat. When we left her house, we were well-fed and had usually been beaten at whatever game we played.

Being one of 17 children, mom knew the value of family. She was a devoted wife to our father for 34 years until his passing in 1992. She loved being a mother, and it seemed like she loved being a grandmother even more, delighting in their accomplishments and seeing them each have families of their own.

In her early years, she was our Brownie leader, PTA president, and even won the New Mexico State Barebow Championship for Women. She worked for Gas Company of New Mexico/PNM as a customer service representative for many years.

In her departure, Mary reunites with her husband Bob, six brothers and six sisters, and her very dear friends Anita Schlueter, George Gillespie and his wife Emma. She is survived by her three daughters, Cindy (Ralph) Morris, Bobbie Goeglein, and Leslie (Andy) Bell; five grandchildren, Julie Dickey, Laura Morris, Ralph, Jr. (Chelsey) Morris, McKenzie (Michael) McDonald, and Jessica (Justin) Barker; nine great grandchildren, Emma Storkson, Sidney Dickey, Reilly, Paisley, Rhett and Rigby Morris, Violet and Callahan McDonald, and Levi Barker. She is also survived by three sisters, Georgia Dittmar, Linda Searcy, Sandra Walker, one brother, Rex (Jackie) Rea, and beloved sister-in-law and best friend Patty Rea, as well as close family friend Judy Johnson. "Aunt Mary" will also be missed by numerous nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Last, but certainly not least, she is survived by the loving and caring staff at Namaste House Assisted Living who became family to us all over the last three years. We owe them a debt of gratitude that can never be repaid.

In honor of mom's memory and her unwavering love, we kindly request donations to be made to Childhaven in lieu of flowers.

We will have a celebration of mom's life October 5th, 2024 at the First Presbyterian Church (865 N Dustin Ave. Farmington NM 87401) From 3:00PM-5:00PM
