Mary Ann Griffiths, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Stephen and Delia Suich, she was the cherished sister of the late Peter, John, and James.
Mary Ann met her late husband, Raymond Griffiths, while she was in nursing training in Louisville, Kentucky. Together, they settled in Cleveland and later Bay Village, Ohio, where they raised their four children. As the founders of Rae-Ann Nursing facilities, Mary Ann and Ray dedicated nearly 50 years to providing compassionate care to the elderly, a testament to her passion for nursing and service.
She took great pride in her nursing career, yet her most cherished role was that of a wife and mother. Mary Ann was known for her love of cooking, often presenting meals on beautifully set tables adorned with fresh flowers. Her home was a warm and welcoming space, filled with beauty and love.
In her retirement, Mary Ann lived in Naples, Florida and enjoyed traveling and spending time on the golf course, creating lasting memories with family and friends. She is survived by her four children: John Griffiths and his wife Mary, James Griffiths, Cindy Griffiths Novak and her husband Steve Novak, and Susan Griffiths and her wife Kim Scott. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her spirit of kindness and love.
Mary Ann Griffiths will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of care, family, and warmth will continue to inspire those she touched.
In celebration of her life, a Funeral Mass will be held at St Christopher Church, 20141 Detroit Road, Rocky River, OH on Monday December 15th at 11am. Friends may call in the Gathering Area of St. Christopher Church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment Private.
