Mary Hallett Obituary

Mary (Rednour) Hallett, 84

Mary L. (Rednour) Hallett 84, embarked on her final adventure August 6th, 2024. Born May 8th, 1940 Mary Louise (Weezie) Pace arrived. Born the 3rd Daughter to Merwyn & Winifred Pace she was a handful. Adventuresome & mischievous she wasn't going to let any grass grow under her feet.

As a young pre-teen she saw this handsome young man come through the door at her girlfriends house. She told her friend "I'm going to marry that boy some day", of course her friend said " Yuck" that's my brother Don. After graduating in 1958 from Owego Free Academy in NY she "Flew the Coop". Eventually setteling down in Post Falls, Idaho.

Post Falls was " Her" community. She was a 4H leader for 20 years. She sat on the selection Committee for the Miss Post Falls Pageants. Founding Member of Shop Post Falls (organized to encourage residents to support locally owned businesses). FOE member for 63 years. Loved, loved her camping outings with the Post Falls Eagles Camper Club. In 1994 Mary was Honored by the Community by being chosen to be their Grand Marshall for the Post Falls Days Parade. Many many adventures awaited her in life of which she said recently " I would have only changed a few because they all made me the woman I am right now".

Fast forward to 2009....after the passing of Beloved Husband Lawrence (Larry) Rednour in 1993 and then her Loving companion Richard (Papa Dick) Farnsworth in 2007, Mary decided to go back to Owego to visit old friends. As life would have it she happened upon "that boy" Don. Well she did indeed marry "that boy" in January of 2010 (sadly Don passed away in 2015).

Also preceded in Death by her Father, Mother, Sister Jane Newkirk & Sister Marilyn Fox. She is survived by her Daughter Cynthia (Bruce) Gonzales & Granddaughter Jennifer Gonzales; many wonderful step children Including Lawrence Rednour Jr., Mark Rednour, Cynthia Drnjevic (Rednour), Misty Farnsworth, Stewart Hallett and their beautiful families; many nieces & nephews.

Honoring her last wishes there will be no service, however if a memorial contribution is being considered she was passionate about 2 charities, St. Jude’s and Boys Town. You Colored Our World Mom, We Love You...Thank You!
