Mary Alyne Harrell, aged 95, peacefully passed away on February 17, 2025. Mary was born in Hallsville, Texas on November 8, 1929 to Alec and Allie (Hickey) Busby. Mary lived a life filled with dedication and passion, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to know her.
Mary devoted many years of her life to her career as a Bakery Manager at Brookshire's, where her skills and warmth endeared her to both colleagues and customers alike.
In addition to her professional achievements, Mary was an active member of the Women's Golf Association of Holly Lake, a role that brought her immense joy and fulfillment. Golfing not only provided her with a sport she loved but also allowed her to forge lifelong friendships and share memorable moments on and off the course.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Cookie Turlington and husband Jerry, Donna Walker, Michelle Reed and husband Jerry along with a host of grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Harrell and daughter, Shirley Ann Gaines.
Services for Mary will be Friday, February 21, 2025 at Holly Tree Bible Church, visitation will be from 12:00PM-1:00PM with funeral service at 1:00PM. Interment to follow at Holly Tree Cemetery.
