Mrs. Mary Heger

Mrs. Mary Ellen Vance Heger, age 97 of McDonough, GA passed away August 16, 2010. She was born in Decatur, Illinois to the late Claude and Jean Kern Vance. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jerome Joseph Heger, Jr. and by a grandson, William Heger. She was a parishioner at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church and over the years enjoyed golf, crocheting, knitting, sewing and dancing. Survivors include her sons, Timothy (Diane) Heger of McDonough, GA, Thomas Heger of Shawnee, KS; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Peck of Dripping Springs, TX. A Funeral Mass for Mary Heger will be held Friday, August 20, 2010 at 10:30 AM at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church with Father John Murphy as Celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. Contributions are asked to be made to Sacred Journey Hospice, 138 Peach Drive, McDonough, GA 30253 in memory of Mary.
