MARY HOFFMAN Obituary

MARY HOFFMAN Mary Hoffman joined her heavenly family on February 14, 2025, while under the care of hospice at the Renville Nursing home. Mary was born on April 20, 1946, at the Montevideo Hospital to Almie (Johnson) and Paul Jacobs. She was raised in Big Bend and as a toddler moved to Watson. After graduating from Milan High School, Mary worked in various jobs and spent approximately 20 years working as a teller in the local bank. Mary enjoyed homemaking and was a very good cook but enjoyed eating out as well. Mary played organ for many churches and was an expert in embroidery, taking ribbons at the county fairs. Mary was married to Virgil Koepp in 1967 and they lived in the Clarkfield/Boyd area until his death. Mary then married Brian Hoffman in 1997 and they lived in the Scared Heart area until they moved to Prairie View in Hector where Brian remains living. Mary is survived by her husband Brian of Hector and brother Paul "Buck" Jacobs of Montevideo, as well as several nieces and nephews and their extended families. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Almie and Paul Jacobs, spouse Virgil Koepp, sister Bev Reinhart, brother-in-law Bernard "Popeye" Reinhart, and sister-in-law Lynn Jacobs. No funeral will be held per Mary's wishes. Cards of memory could be sent to Brian Hoffman, 1010 Elm Ave E, Apt #208, c/o Prairie View Assisted Living, Hector, MN 55342 or Buck Jacobs , 1706 E.
