Mary Hoover

Napoleon - Mary Louise Hoover, 82, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on October 11, 1943, to the late Clarence and Mary (Wiesner) Bailey. On December 30, 1967, Mary married Larry Hoover in Pittsburg.

Mary was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Napoleon where she was active in many committees. She especially liked to help with the offerings and many open houses at the church. Mary was a lifelong blood doner with the American Red Cross. She enjoyed playing cards with her card club and attending her grandchildren's school and sports events.

Mary is survived by her sons, Christopher (Jeannine) Hoover, David (Angie) Hoover, and Patrick (Beth Hahn) Hoover; grandchildren, Laken (Bradley) McBride, Klair (John) Licis, Erin (Joey) Heines, Gillian Hoover, Emma Hoover, and Drake Hoover; great grandchildren, Wren, Margot, Sylvie, Miles, and Millie; and sister, Barbara Pflugh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; and brother-in-law, Charlie Pflugh.

Friends and family will be received at the Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine Catholic Church on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
