MARY SUE HUESTIS

August 24, 1955 – December 3, 2025

Mary Sue Huestis (Petrowsky) was born August 24, 1955 in Bakersfield, CA to Mary and Herman Petrowsky. She went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in Heaven on December 3, 2025. Mary Sue loved to live. She enjoyed traveling the world and being outside, especially with all of the animals she had over the years. She had a natural gift of landscaping, art, and singing. Being a Griswold at heart, she loved entertaining and making people laugh and have fun. The last few years of her life she had found her way back to Christ and loved to talk about God and scripture.

Mary Sue was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Mary Petrowsky, her brother Joseph Petrowsky, and her sister Gail Hunting. She is survived by her twin sister Betty and husband David McCarthy, her sister Lynna and husband Jerry Blakemore, her brother Steven and wife Renee Petrowsky, all her nieces and nephews, her son Adam Huestis and her grandchildren Hunter Huestis and Gloria Huestis. And most of all her FAVORITE child that she loved the most, her daughter Haley Huestis. (brother that's what you get for having me write the obituary. LOL)

The funeral service will be held JANUARY 5TH at All Seated in a Barn, 30764 Imperial St., Shafter, CA at 12:00pm followed by a short graveside service at 2:00pm at Hillcrest Memorial, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd., Bakersfield, CA. Then her Celebration of Life will be held at Legends, 7900 Downing Ave., from 3pm-7pm. Don't forget to dress warm.
