My condolences to the whole Huguelet clan. You all know what a treasure she was, and I want to share a story about what a warm and kind person she was to me.

Being friends with her daughter Nancy, and playing sports with Paul, I knew Mr. and Mrs. Huguelet well. It was during high school that our paths crossed regularly. On a cold, snowy morning, as I was walking the two miles from my home to Brother Rice High School, Mrs. Huguelet saw me and offered me a ride. It was a welcome and warm offer that I was happy to accept. She told me she was volunteering at Brother Rice and heading there anyway, so she was glad to give me a ride. From that first ride on, anytime she was heading to volunteer either at Mother McAuley or Brother Rice, she would see me and give me a ride. As it turned out, she always seemed to drive by and give me a ride on the coldest or rainiest days. In hindsight, I´ve come to believe, and it would not surprise me, that even on days that she was not volunteering, and the weather was bad, she headed that way for the sole purpose of picking me just to get me out of the bad weather.

Both your Mom and Dad had such a positive impact on my life, and I´m full of gratitude for having known them.
