Mary Ann Collins Stapleton Hunter, age 69 of Pikeville Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, January 6th, 2024 at her residence in Pikeville, Kentucky. She was born January 22, 1954 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Alfred & Maudie Collins. She was the wife of the late Herbert Dale Hunter and the late Roy Stapleton. She was a homemaker. Mary is survived by her Sons: Roy Gene (Michelle) Stapleton of Pikeville, Ky, Lester Lee (Mitzi) Stapleton of Pikeville, Ky, Jeffrey (Belinda) Stapleton of Pikeville, Ky; Daughters: Emmy Lou (Keith) Meadows, of Millard, Ky, Billie Jo (Jeff) Turner of Loretta, Tennessee, Connie Lea (Jamie) Newsome of Virgie, Ky, Carolyn Renee (Ermal) Blevins of Tazwell, Virginia & Janet Virginia (Chris) Everage of Virgie, Ky; 19 Grandchildren & 10 Great-Grandchildren and a host of Nieces & Nephews. Along with her husbands and parents, Mary was also preceded in death by her Daughter: Wanda Trafelet and Grandson: Ronald Trafelet; Brothers: Graham Parsons, Monterville "Barlow" Parsons, Johnny Ray Collins, Tommy Collins, Warnie Collins & Holly Collins; Sisters: Gracie Gladys Dalton & Lexie Collins. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held at Betsy Layne Church of Christ Tuesday and Wednesday from 6pm-10pm with nightly services at 7pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at the church at 11am
Burial will follow at Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, Kentucky
