Mary Inguaggiato

Mary Inguaggiato, died on Friday February 13th 2026, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 63.

She was born on May 4th, 1962, in Nassau County, New York, the daughter of the late

Herman and Alice Berny.

There was never a moment she did not light up the room and was always the life of the party. She had a love for penguins, her daughter, grandchildren, and embraced many extra children/grandchildren. Mary enjoyed many crafts, such as her plethora of color by numbers and plastic canvases. She especially loved opening her home to all her adopted children and grandchildren.

Mary worked for New Hanover County Schools for over twenty years, where she shared her smiling face with all the school-aged children.

Mary leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory forever. Mary is preceded in death by her husband of thirty-five years Antonio Inguaggiato, along with her beloved parents Herman and Alice Berny; and sister, Alice (Fred) Becker.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Allysin Inguaggiato; her granddaughter, Isabella; her grandson, Michael; her sister, Patricia Alongi; her brother, Martin Berny, along with extended children and grandchildren, who will deeply miss their Oma.

Visitation will be held at Wilmington Funeral & Cremation at 1535 S 41st Street, Wilmington, NC 28403 from 6-8 PM on Friday, February 20th, 2026.
