Mary Jane Bradford Buchanan

 

Mary Jane Bradford Buchanan, age 84 of Nashville, TN went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.

Mary Jane was born in Fayetteville, TN on July 22, 1939, daughter of the late James & Bonnie (Bailey) Bradford. She worked for Vanderbilt University for over 47 years. Mrs. Buchanan was extremely proud of the fact that she and her daughters were valedictorians of their respective classes. Mary Jane was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Earl Buchanan & son-in-law Tim Fulton.Survivors include her daughters, Lyneve Fulton & LaRita Gwie and husband Steve Gwie along with 4 grandchildren, Brady Fulton, Luke Fulton, Eliana Gwie, & Shayla Gwie.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home, Franklin, TN where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM with Pastor James Wynn, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson Memorial Gardens, Franklin, TN. Pallbearers will be Charles Buchanan, Bill Buchanan, Scott Johnson, Steve Gwie, Wade Williams, Brady Fulton & Luke Fulton.  In lieu of flowers, we would like to have people donate to the Ingram Scholars Program at Vanderbilt University. This program encourages students to work with established not-for-profit and professional organizations to create projects that will develop solutions to critical societal problems.
