Mary Johnson Obituary
She was born on February 14, 1958, in Anderson, Indiana, to Richard Gibbons and Betty (Poor) Gibbons-Baker. Mary spent her life in the community she loved, finding comfort and happiness in everyday routines and simple joys.
For several years, Mary worked as a housekeeper at Tractor Supply Warehouse, where she took pride in her work and was known for her dedication and reliability.
Mary had a special fondness for yard sales and thrift shopping, especially her frequent trips to Goodwill. One of her favorite pastimes was riding the CAT bus to Goodwill whenever she could. She also enjoyed going on walks and cherished her quiet time with her cats.
Above all, Mary treasured time spent with her grandchildren, who brought her great joy and happiness. Her gentle nature and the small traditions she loved will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Mary is survived by sister, Priscilla Johnson; brothers, Robert (Darlene) Gibbons and RJ (Debbie) Gibbons; granddaughter, Sadie (Michael) McVey; grandson, Noah (Kelsey) Johnson; granddaughter, Emma Johnson; great-grandchildren, Gianna, Kingsley, Mila, Kevin, Karter, and Lilah.
Mary was preceded in passing by her parents; son, Robert "Bubby" Johnson; brothers, Barry Gibbons, Kenny Gibbons, and David Gibbons; sister, Rhonda Johnson; and ex-husband, John Johnson.
Mary has entrusted Loose Funeral Homes for her cremation. There will be a celebration of life on Thursday, January 22nd, 2026 at the New Life Church of The Nazarene, 3615 Raible Avenue, Anderson Indiana 46011 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
