Mary Johnson Obituary
Mary Jane was a homemaker, a loyal servant to her Lord, and an active member of First General Baptist Church in Owensboro, where she served as a Sunday school teacher for several years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, music, and playing the organ.
In addition to her parents, Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Albert 'Red' Johnson, who died February 1, 2001 and by a granddaughter, Jennifer Nicole Johnson.
Mary Jane is survived by two sons, James Johnson (Mary Burmaster) of St.Paul, Minnesota and Keith Johnson (Tanya) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; two daughters, Carolyn Grantz (Joseph) of Floyds Knobs, Indiana and Joan Bencomo of New Albany, Indiana; 8 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hope Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Mary Jane's family from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Musters in Calhoun.
The Mary Jane Johnson family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Pleasant Hope Cemetery Fund; C/O Tom Howard; 3583 Kentucky 136 East; Calhoun, Kentucky 42327.
Mary Jane's services will be streamed live on musterfuneralhomes.com at 1:00 P.M. Saturday.
