Mary Jane Kasprus

CROSWELL- Mary Jane Kasprus, age 95, a resident of Croswell passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on May 20, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan, a daughter of the late Edward F. and Marcia Grace (Monger) Kanaby. Mary Jane married John H. Kasprus on November 27, 1948 in Croswell. He preceded her in death on June 4, 2005.
Mary Jane worked along side her husband helping operate the family dairy farm, as well as taking care of the house and raising seven children. She was a longtime and devoted member of St. Johns Catholic Church in Peck, where she was also a member of the Altar Society. Mary Jane enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening and china painting. She was a member of the Birthday Club and a garden club. Mary Jane was also a volunteer at Project Blessing in Carsonville for many years.
She is survived by her seven children, John (Ruth) Kasprus, Angela (George) Tice, Pam (Kevin) Smith, Susan (Donald) Meissner, Sally (David) Zambron, Linda (Craig) Bailey and Lori (Gerry) Ganuelas; 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Kasprus, parents, Edward and Marcia Kanaby, two sisters and five brothers; her great-grandson, Damien Kasprus and her son-in-law, Leo Purchiaroni.
Visitation will be from 2-6 P.M. on Sunday at the Pomeroy Funeral Home in Lexington. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday at St. Johns Catholic Church in Peck, with visiting at the church from 10-11 A.M. Monday morning. Fr. Amal Raj Madanu will officiate. Pallbearers will be George Tice, Kevin Smith, Donald Meissner, David Zambron, Gerry Ganuelas and Kirk Mumby. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Catholic Cemetery in Peck.
Memorials in memory of Mary Jane may be made to the United Hospice Service of Aspire Rural Health System.
