Mary Keenan Obituary
Mary was born in Connemara, Ireland the daughter of Thomas and Barbara Coyne. Mary moved to Schenectady when she was 17. She had worked at several jobs throughout the years and retired from Hallmark Nursing Home. Mary was a longtime communicant of St. Luke's Church. She was very active with the Schenectady Ancient Order of the Hibernians. Mary will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and family celebrations.
She was predeceased by her husband Donald Keenan.
Mary was the mother of 4 children; Jackie (Andy) Sharp and Brenda (Peter) Adams and predeceased by her two sons, Kevin and Brian Keenan. She is survived by a sister Annie Maitino and brother Michael Coyne and was predeceased by 4 brothers and two sisters. Mary has 3 grandchildren: Kelly Sharp, Greg (Jessa) Sharp and Corey (fiancé Becky) Sharp and 1 great-granddaughter Amelia Sharp. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services Friday 8:30 a.m. from the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St., Schenectady then to St. Luke's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Calling hours will be Thursday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Luke's Church Daily Bread and Food Pantry, 1241 State St., Schenectady, NY 12304 or Ancient Order of Hibernians, 1748 State St., Schenectady, NY 12304.
Mary's family would like to express their gratitude to the Ellis Hospital Nurses on A-6, the Emergency Department and to the Ellis Residential and Rehabilitation Center Nurses.

Mary and Don welcomed me warmly into their Furman Avenue home more than 35 years ago. I always enjoyed their hospitality and loving comical ways. A treasure is lost and will remain in my prayers until we meet again. Love to you all at this time, Deb
