Mary "Jane" Kesel, 78, Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. She was born July 29, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Philip and Nora "Alice" Ruch Kesel.



Jane was a graduate of St. John the Baptist High School in St. Louis. She worked in various administrative roles for the State of Missouri and Marriott Food Services throughout her career. Outside of work she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She was a St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed puzzles, quilting, and crafting.



She is survived by her daughters: Alice Messenger, Julie (Jerome) Wieberg, and Kerri (Travis) Tesreau; a son: Kenneth (Angela) Twehus; grandchildren: Jeremiah (Rachel) Lashley, Joshua (Annabelle) Wieberg, Jordan (Ryan) Burkhart, Ethan (Anna) Twehus, Courtney (Joe) Christian, Mariah Messenger, Casey (Eva) Littrell, Scott Messenger, Christopher Littrell, Alexander Tesreau, and Abigail Tesreau; brothers: Sylvester (Mary) Kesel, Don (Sharon) Kesel, Roger (Jenny) Kesel, Daniel (Carolyn) Kesel, and Mark (Vonna) Kesel; sisters: Genevieve (Leonard) Jaco, Veronica (Vic) Kemna, Shirley (Henry) Kemna, Clara (Joshua) McGowin, Sharon Kesel, Gail (John) Kempker, Donna (Tony) Belfiore, and Dana Alexander; eleven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.



Jane was preceded in death by her mother: Alice (Ruch) Kesel; father Phillip Kesel; and brother Cletus Kesel.



Visitation will be Wednesday, November 12th from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the St. Elizabeth Community Center.



Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, November 13, 2025 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church - St. Elizabeth with Rev. Christopher Aubuchon officiating.



Interment will directly follow in the St. Lawrence Cemetery.



Memorials may be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
