Mary A. Kosiorek

Mary A. (Messina) Kosiorek, 87, a lifelong resident of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, whose warmth, generosity, and zest for life will be cherished forever. Mary shared 67 beautiful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Arthur L. Kosiorek, whom she met at a USO dance at Fort Devens. Their love was a testament to commitment, laughter, and the simple joys of life together.
Born in 1938 to the late Joseph and Mary N. (Rapaglia) Messina, Mary embodied kindness and resilience throughout her life. After graduating high school, she pursued her talent as a seamstress, crafting beautiful clothing for her family and friends, a labor of love that reflected her creativity and devotion to those she cared for.
Mary's life was filled with passions that brought her immense joy. She was an enthusiastic Boston Red Sox fan, a dedicated gardener who nurtured vibrant flowers, and a lover of the ocean, especially Salisbury Beach, where she delighted in collecting sand dollars. She found happiness in the rhythms of polka music, the excitement of traveling, and the deep connections she fostered with lifelong friends, never missing a class reunion, always treasuring the bonds she built over the years.
She was the cherished mother of Ann Marie Baril and her husband, Roger, of Londonderry, NH, and Diana Ross and her husband, Les, of Harvest, AL. As a devoted sister, she shared a special bond with Nancy Bennett. She was an adored grandmother to Natalie Lessard and her partner, Robert Luger and a loving great-grandmother to Cassidy Luger.
Mary's presence was a gift to all who knew her. Her generous spirit, devotion to family, and unwavering kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
Family and friends are invited to Mary's Visitation on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley Street, Methuen, MA, 01844. Her Funeral Mass will be held the following day, Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Lucy's Parish, 254 Merrimack St, Methuen, MA, 01844, with burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
Mary's love, laughter, and unwavering devotion will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
