Mary Isabell Lamers

Mary Isabell Lamers, 83, passed away on the morning of August 31, 2025, in Fort Myers, Florida from Parkinson's.

Born on September 21, 1941, in Appleton, Wisconsin, Mary was the daughter of Raymond and Ardina Pritzl. The oldest of 6 girls, she was a devoted sister, wife, loving mother and grandmother, and loyal friend whose warmth, strength, and gentle spirit touched all who knew her.

Mary loved cooking and baking, had a keen eye for fashion, and especially enjoyed music and singing - even though she could never remember the words. :) She had wide-ranging interests and several careers over her lifetime, including health care, upholstery, food brokering, various office positions, and sales. But her favorite by far was her last - early childhood education. At 48, Mary went back to school to earn her degree and went on to enjoy nearly twenty years with "the littles." She was a warm and compassionate teacher who changed lives with her big hugs and loving support.

Mary is survived by her six children: her daughter Shell (Leland) Redfern; 5 sons Mark (Linda) Lamers, Micheal Paul, Marty Lamers, Kent Lamers and Kevin (Angi) Lamers; 7 grandchildren Ananda (Noah) Warrick, Jenny (Toby) Simmons, Zach Lamers, Tom (Sydney) Lamers, Macy Lamers, Sawyer Lamers, and Emme Lamers; and two great grandsons, Sol and Ace. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Lamers, on October 27, 2023.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2026 in Appleton, Wisconsin. Further details will be shared with family and friends at a later date.
