Mary H. Lesneski

1932 - 2023

Mary H. Lesneski of San Clemente, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother died peacefully at home on June 27, 2023 at the age of 90 surrounded by family. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska on July 24, 1932. She met her husband-to-be, Edward J. Lesneski Jr. in Oceanside, CA while he was stationed at Camp Pendleton during WWII. They were married in 1950. In 1968 they moved to San Clemente where they purchased Divel Funeral Chapel, now known as Lesneski Mortuary. Mary was very active with Our Lady of Fatima Church. She was a volunteer with San Clemente Hospital for over fifteen years and was actively involved with Casa Romantica. Her many hobbies included painting, playing cards with her lady friends, traveling, watching cowboy movies... but most of all being with her family.Mary is survived by her three children, Catherine Hays, Mark and Laura; six grandchildren, Matthew Hays, Melissa Javier, Travis and Amy, Edward IV, and Lance; five great grandchildren, Allison Ciais, Johanna Javier, Jaylee Javier, Alexa, and Aiden R.; three great-great grandchildren, Aiden J. Ciais, Wyatt Ciais, and Holley Ciais. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward John Lesneski Jr. and her son, Edward John Lesneski III. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 27 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Lesneski Colonial Chapel, 640 S. El Camino Real, San Clemente with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, July 28, 11:00 am, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 105 La Esperanza, San Clemente. Interment to follow at Pacific View Memorial Park, Corona Del Mar.
