Mary Helen M. Sweatt

Rock Hill, SC – Mary Helen M. Sweatt, "Helen", 88, passed away on July 4, 2024, at Piedmont Medical Center in Fort Mill. Born on June 14, 1936, in Great Falls, SC, she was the daughter of the late George W. Maree and the late Addie Demby. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Sweatt; two sons, Edward David Burris and Ronnie Odell Burris. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Johnnie Burris of Edgemoor, SC; four grandchildren, Stanley Spruill, Letitia Burris Boone (William), Ronnie Matthew Burris, Billy Joe Burris (Amy); and six great-grandchildren.
Helen was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was a custodian for Rock Hill School District and a Nurse Aide at Magnolia Manor. She adored and loved her family, especially her great-grandchildren.
She was passionate about her love for Jesus Christ and people in general. She will be missed immensely and remembered forever.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 12, at 11 AM at Greenlawn Cemetery, 815 Chester Avenue, Great Falls, SC, 29055.
