Mary Mace Obituary
Born on December 25, 1941, in Charleston, she was the daughter of the late Leona Westfall. Mary Lou was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mace. Mary Lou dedicated her life to her family, her work, and her community. Over the years, she was employed by CAMC, the State Credit Union, and later retired from J.C. Penney. Those who knew her remember her as a kind and caring woman who loved deeply and was loved by all who knew her. Her gentle spirit, compassion, and warmth touched everyone she met.She is survived by her sons Robert Mace, Thomas Mace, and Jeffery Mace, and by her beloved grandchildren Trey Mace, Cameron Mace, Braelynn Mace, and Aeris Mace. Graveside Services will be held on Friday October 24th, 2025 at Tyler Mountain Memorial Gardens at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mary Lou's memory to Mountain Mission.

Mary Lou was a valued member of our communications team at Charleston Area Medical Center. Always a bright light in any setting. A lovely lady with a wonderful personality. Part of management but always concerned about how patients were cared for. Our condolences to the family.

a truly remarkable and resilient woman. Over a year, I had the privilege of visiting Mary weekly, and we shared a close and special bond. Every time I saw her, her face would light up with joy, and her sweet nature was a constant source of warmth. Mary faced her challenges with grace and positivity, touching the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed, and her legacy of kindness and strength will live on in our hearts.
