Mary Ellen Markert

Mary Ellen Markert, 87, born in Elgin, Illinois on December 10, 1930, passed away on September 18, 2018. She resided in Palm Desert, California at the time of her passing. Mary's battle with Alzheimer's has finally ended, the Lord has taken her home. She will be remembered for her crazy, outspoken humor. Words often used to describe her were: "What a hoot", "she's the life of the party" and "she's a sweetheart". Her enjoyments in life were hanging out with friends at the local pubs, lying by the pool, tropical vacations, competing in chili cook offs and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a generous, crazy, fun loving soul and will be greatly missed. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Cathedral City, CA
