Mary Martinez Obituary
Mary was born on May 1, 1943 in Big Spring. She was a lifetime resident of Big Spring and very active at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was known for her generosity to people less fortunate. She was employed at the Social Security office for 47 years. She loved to garden in her free time.
Mary is survived by her husband: Jose Martinez of Big Spring; step-daughter: Gina Martinez; 3 grandchildren: Jeremy Gutierrez, Mia Martinez, & Sebastian Lopez; a number of nieces & nephew including a niece who she loved like a sister: Christina Barrera of Big Spring; nephew: Rick Nunez (Patricia) of Big Spring; nephews: Jessie DeLeon, Ricky Nunez (Kayla), & Chris Nunez (Kayla) all of Big Spring; great nieces & nephews: Paisley Jackson, Pepper Nunez, Ricardo Dean Nunez, Aidyn Nunez, Scarlette Nunez, & Aaron Nunez; and brother-in-law: Jose Luis Gonzales (Nancy) of Big Spring.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents: Jesus & Angelina Puga; 1 son: Frank Martinez; 3 sisters: Elvira Nunez, Elouisa Mendez, & Emma Brown; and 1 brother: Jose Puga.
Pallbearers will be Jessie DeLeon, Ricky Nunez, Chris Nunez, Armando Gutierrez & Johnathan Gutierrez. Honorary pallbearers will be Sebastian Lopez, Aidyn Nunez, Al Mendez, Roy Puga, Joey Puga, and Jimmy Brown.
