Loving Memory: Mary Alice McDonald, a beloved wife, devoted mother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, just days after celebrating her 92nd birthday. She was born on October 11, 1933 in Deland, Florida. Daughter of Bruce Orrell and Alice Skillton.
She is preceded by her parents.
Mary's life was a testament to enduring love and dedication, most notably through her extraordinary 74-year marriage to her soulmate, Daniel McDonald. Their partnership was a beacon of commitment, built on respect, deep affection, and shared laughter, providing an inspirational foundation for their family.
A true matriarch, Mary dedicated her life to raising their four daughters, instilling in them values of kindness, strength, and resilience. Her home was always filled with warmth, the inviting scent of biscuits, cookies and the sound of a large, happy family. She loved to sew and tend to the garden that her and her husband put so much pride in.
Mary's gentle spirit and unwavering support will be deeply missed by her husband, Daniel; her four daughters Marlene(Vic) Danna(Donnie),Kathy(Terry) and Carla.As well as 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She also learned before she passed of that 2 more great great grandchildren are being added to the family. Mary was the epitome of what a wonderful person should be. She will be missed and cherished forever.
