Mary "Kathy" Katherine Morley, 79, of Dixon, IL, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Liberty Court Assisted Living & Memory Care in Dixon. She worked as a preschool teacher at the Dixon YMCA.
Kathy was born on July 12, 1946, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Charles and Esther (Hutison) Pulfer. She married John E. Morley, Jr., on August 17, 1968, in Aurora, IL. He preceded her in death on November 12, 2020. Kathy attended the Lost Lake Community Nazarene in Dixon. She was a lifelong PEO member, part of the Dixon Area Garden Club, worked for Nichols Greenhouse in Dixon, and enjoyed working for Mcwethy's Apple Orchard. Kathy loved flowers and gardening, she was an avid traveler, and hosted many foreign exchange students and people alike along with her husband, John. Her memory will live on in all of those lucky enough to know and love her.
Kathy is survived by her two sons, Michael Morley of Sterling; John E. (Diana) Morley III of Dixon; two granddaughters, Alyssa (Nathan Shull) Morley, Addison (Austin Peach) Morley; one bonus-great-grandson, Korbyn Peach; one brother, Robert (Dorothy) Pulfer; brother-in-law, Dale Morley; sister-in-law, Marilyn Dobbin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Dan Dobbin; and one sister-in-law, Jingli Morley.
Private Family Services will be held. A Celebration of Kathy's Life will take place at a later date. Cremation Rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be directed to Dixon Public Library Children's Department and the Alzheimer's Association.
