Moultrie, Georgia – Mary Virginia Morrell, 79, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
No formal services are planned at this time.
Born November 29, 1946, in Lakeland, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Welburn Martin Fender and the late Ida Belle Browning Fender.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Morrell, Jr.
She was a talented seamstress, worked and retired from Maule Aircraft. She was also a very dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, caring for others and always believed in keeping a very tidy house.
Survivors include her children, Angela Jean Sanchez and husband, Jose, Jamie Welford Morrell and wife, Christina, Hope Jeneen Long and husband, Jody and Jason Hartsfield; grandchildren, Angela D. Vaughan and husband, Drew Flynn, Blake Williams, Sarah Morrell, Emilie Morrell, Nevaeh Morrell, Hayle Moore, Kyle Mays and Logan Mays; great-grandchildren, Harleigh Rae Flynn and Everleigh Morrell; sisters, Shirley Ann Powers, Louise Ross and Lois Griffin.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
