Mary Ruth Morrow, age 97, of Mineola, passed away December 13, 2022 in Tyler.
Mary was born in Crowley, Texas to the late Otis and Mamie Smalley on April 27, 1925. Mary married the love of her life, Kenneth Ray Morrow Sr., on August 9, 1941, and they went on to have 6 children.
From the moment Mary had her first child, she dedicated her life to being a wonderful mother. She was very involved in her children’s school activities and games and always supported them throughout their lives.
In her younger years, she enjoyed pastel painting, camping, and fishing. She also enjoyed playing Forty-Two. Mary was a devoted Christian and member of Central Baptist Church in Mineola.
She greets in Heaven her parents, Otis and Mamie Smalley; husband, Kenneth Ray Morrow Sr.; two brothers, AW Smalley and Otis Smalley Jr.; sister, Louise Torrence; daughter-in-law, Beverly Morrow; and two grandsons, Jason Patrick Morrow and Donald Morrow.
Left to cherish her memory are her six children, Kenneth Ray Morrow Jr. of Crow, Jerry Wayne Morrow and wife Donna of Mineola, Ronnie Morrow and wife Pam of Golden, Donnie Morrow and wife Margie of Dallas, Kathy Murrell and husband Tom of South Carolina, and Louis Morrow of Crow; one sister-in-law, Bobbie Smalley of Arkansas; 15 grandchildren, Steven, Darla, Edward, Kay, Lydia, Randy, John, Ronnie Jr., Jennifer, Alicia, Becky, Matthew, Megan, Justin, and Kameron; and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Mary will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, December 16, 2022 at Central Baptist Church in Mineola with Brother Chester Burke officiating. Graveside service will follow at New Hope Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
Serving as pallbearers are Ronnie Morrow Jr., Steve Morrow, Steven Paul Morrow, John Morrow, Randy Morrow, and Justin Morrow. Alternate pallbearers are Jeremy Malone and Corbin Cuellar.
Honorary pallbearer is Kameron Morrow.
