Mrs. Mary Rachel Morse

Mary Rachel Morse, age 86, of Laurel, MD died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at La Casa de Rosa in Savage, MD. Born September 8, 1923 in Goldsboro, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ruth Caroline (Mewborn) and William Daniels. She was the wife of the late James F. Morse. She is survived by her daughter Gail Koebke and her husband Donald and granddaughter Karen Webber and her husband Addam. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Ave., Laurel, MD on Saturday, June 26,from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service at First Baptist Church of Savage, 8901 Washington St., Savage, MD 20764 on Sunday, June 27 at 3 p.m. Interment at Meadowridge Memorial Park on Monday, June 28 at 11 a.m. (Please assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Monday to process to the cemetery.) Mrs. Morse worked as a telephone operator for the DC Children’s Center for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Savage, the Red Hat Society-Leisurely Ladies of Laurel, the Laurel Senior Friendship Club, and the Laurel Chapter of the AARP. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Savage.
