Loved her acting.

Her performance in 'The Wild One' was brilliant. Her talent shone through and worked wonderfully well with Brando. I was saddened to hear of her passing. Definitely an icon of the age who left a great imprint on the big screen.

I will always remember Mary Murphy from the sweet girl Kathie in movie The Wild One. Though I was only seven or eight when I first saw her in the film, her gentle face and voice simply touched this youngster.There will always be a warm place in my heart for this pretty gal. Love You Always Mary from Robert.

As a high school senior in 1954, I saw “The Wild One,” and was mesmerized by Mary’s beauty, personality, and flawless performance in that movie. She was perfect for the part. Several months ago I bought a DVD of the movie, and I have watched it several times since. Each time, I am just astounded by how sweet and adorable she was in the movie. Although I didn’t know her personally, I was truly saddened by her passing. I would like to express my condolences to her daughter, friends, and family. God Bless You Mary … Rest In Peace.

I recently watched "The Wild One" and was taken by the innocent wholesomeness that Mary Murphy lent to her portrayal of "the small-town girl" opposite Brando's "loose cannon" rebel. Her performance has helped make this film a true Hollywood classic. My condolences to her family, friends, and fellow fans.

Dear family,
Many years ago while a young actress, I was asked to double and standin for Mary in Main Street to Broadway being filmed New York City.
Met and talked with Mary a few times. Found her to be a lovely and talented young lady. Sad to see such a person pass away. At least we have her lovely face in our hearts and on screen.

Mary is in a much better place today. She is not suffering nor does she anguish, and her family and friends will mourn her passing, yet they should be celebrating for she is in Heaven with those who have preceded her and there will be a reunion. We should all celebrate her good fortune and pray for her.
